YMCA Kids are happy active kids

We have a wide range of exciting after school recreational activities in our centres that are designed to develop your child's strength, co-ordination and confidence in a fun and friendly environment.

Specially designed for children aged 1 to 16 years, YMCA Kids’ Programmes allow your little (and not so little!) ones to focus on an area they are interested in. Whether that be learning gymnastics skills, playing in a basketball or rugby tots team or just getting active through dance and swimming.

Our programmes and activities are run on a term-by-term basis, giving your child a chance to try something new.

Gymnastics

We teach specific skills to develop fundamental movement patterns. But more than that - we focus on fun at our Gymnastics classes.

YMCA Dance classes encourage physical and mental co-ordination and aid in social development and co-operation with friends.

Basketball programmes at YMCA teach your kids the rules and skills of the game in a friendly, fun and non-competitive environment.

Learn basic Cheerleading moves and language, as well as stunting, tumbling and dance. Children will have the opportunity to develop team work, their co-ordination and confidence.

Our Tumbling classes are the best place to safely learn how to roll, turn, tumble and twist! We focus on spatial and body awareness, co-ordination and skill development.

Playing YMCA Kids' Badminton improves motor skills, is a low risk sport, and most of all, it's an easy fun sport to play!

Parkour

One of our newest additions to the programme. Parkour includes running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping and rolling and promotes a high level of physical fitness and fun.
