Want to have a say on important issues facing young people? Shape the future of one of New Zealand's oldest youth-oriented organisations? Or Just make an impact in mental health, sustainability and youth employment? This is an opportunity to share your voice on some of the biggest issues facing our young people.
Launched in 2020, the YMCA Youth Advisory Panel is an initiative that was formed from a need identified by the young people of the YMCA. With the support of the YMCA North Board and CEO Julian Baldey we aim to create a YMCA which considers and values youth voice!
The Youth Advisory Panel, made up of up to 12 young people aged between 16 – 24 years old, will meet fortnightly to brainstorm, plan, discuss and put forward concepts and initiatives for the YMCA to make sure young people are being represented and supported in the future direction of the organisation. The panel will focus on future-centric issues such as sustainability youth employment and mental health.
To be part of the panel, complete an application and we will be in touch.
