All of our stadiums and recreation centres across Auckland and Hamilton are designed with one main thing in mind – sport! We offer all kinds of different sports at a variety of different levels to give as many people as possible the chance to experience the joy and satisfaction of getting into the sport of their choice in an environment that’s as competitive or supportive as you choose.
From basketball and netball to squash and world famous sports like soccer, we’ve got a whole lot of options to choose from. What they all have in common, though, is that they are all great ways to stay active and get to know like-minded people.
So whether you’re keen on being a team player, or more into one-on-one sports, your local YMCA sports leagues have a whole lot of options for you. We’re delighted to share these opportunities to take part in indoor sports with Auckland.
Soccer is the world’s most popular sport – and for good reason. When all you need is a few friends, a ball and somewhere to mark out goals, it’s accessible to people from all walks of life. At our YMCA soccer leagues, we welcome people from all backgrounds too!
Basketball at YMCA Auckland is fast-paced and a great test of dexterity and agility. It’s a brilliant cardiovascular workout, with plenty of variety to keep players engaged; basically, as far as workouts go, it’s a slam dunk!
Our netball leagues include both women’s and mixed evenings, so that you can participate in whatever session suits you and gives you the best chance to be comfortable and have fun. So get out there and try out social netball in Auckland!
Make use of our squash courts for hire either as a training space for yourself, or bring along a friend and battle it out on the court for squash supremacy. Within those four walls, you’re going to have an action-packed time!
