Baby Swimming Lessons in Auckland

You’re never too young to develop a friendly relationship with water!

Research has conclusively shown that babies under a year old deal much better with taking to water than older children. So give your wee one a head start in the swimming stakes, and join in with YMCA Auckland’s baby swim lessons.

For baby swim lessons, the learning experience is just as important for the parent as the child. While your baby develops motor skills, independence and water confidence, you’ll learn important water safety concepts to help your child become safer in and around water. Our teaching facilities are all heated – which means both baby and parent will feel nice and comfortable!

These lessons provide great exercise for little limbs, and parents tend to find that their babies sleep and eat better on swimming lesson days. Each thirty minute class involves games and songs to keep both guardians and tots entertained while developing new, important skills and abilities. All instructors are qualified and lessons are available seven days a week – so no matter what your schedule is like, there’s bound to be a session for you and your new swimmer!
