Finding exciting activities to keep your kids engaged during the holidays or just making care arrangements can be a challenge for many families.
YMCA Shakespear Lodge offers a range of holiday camp options for 6 - 14 year olds running from Sunday - Friday during the school holidays!
Camp include adventure activities as well as games, sports, arts and crafts. Plus children get to experience independence, meet new friends, and develop confidence and other skills such as team-work and communication.

Our online booking system makes registering for camp a simple process. Once registered on AimyPlus - follow the booking instructions to select your programme, your price and transport options (more info below)

For Third Parties

Jump Outdoors
For campers aged 6 to 8 years old

The Jump Outdoors camp offers our younger campers a chance experience the exciting outdoors in a safe and caring environment. Outdoor activities could include some New Zealand classics like sailing, climbing, bush skills, orienteering, or archery. Games and hanging out with children of a similar age makes this camp the perfect way to make new friends and be active these school holidays.

Discover Outdoors
For campers aged 9 to 11 years old

The Discover Outdoors camp offers kids a chance to meet and hang out with campers of a similar age. The focus of the week is on outdoor activities which could include sailing, climbing, kayaking, orienteering, raft building and archery. Learning how to do these cool activities is a fantastic way to be active and develop some skills to prepare kids for New Zealand’s great outdoors.

Adventure Outdoors
For campers aged 12 to 14 years old
The Adventure Outdoors camp is about making and hanging out with friends of a similar age with similar interests, while getting stuck into some cool outdoor activities. Enjoy a week of activities which could include climbing, archery and mountain biking, with some water based favorites such as kayaking and sailing.

Everything Is Included
Transport
Transport options to and from two central Auckland locations - Mt Albert and/or Northcote.
Or make your own way to and from camp.
Accommodation
Dorm style accommodation. Campers can request to be in the same room as friends.
YMCA staff are in cabins next to the campers - on duty overnight if needed.
Meals
Nutritious meals are included in the programme and dietary requirements can be catered for.
Fully Trained Staff
All staff are Police checked, and fully trained to deliver activities and in behaviour management
Activities
A wide range of 'Challenge by Choice' activities with any specialty equipment included.
Fee Assistance
YMCA believe that no family should be excluded from our services because of cost. To make sure every Kiwi has access to camping experiences YMCA offers fee assistance and will subsidise up to 75% of camp fees for children on an application basis.
