YMCA North Shore Recreation Centre is ready to help make your child’s birthday one to remember

Take a whole lot of the stress out of party planning, and let us help you celebrate your child’s birthday the YMCA Auckland way! Our two hour party package includes an hour of play in our stadium, including free play with YMCA equipment and organised games, all overseen by one of our instructors… and there’s a bouncy castle, just in case you needed something extra fun.

After burning off all that energy, the party shifts to our dedicated party room, where parents or guardians take over supervision – there’s a kitchen for any food preparation or storage, and plenty of space for the fun to keep on going.

Birthday Party time slots;

  • Saturday 12pm - 2pm
  • Saturday 3pm -5pm
  • Sunday 11am - 1pm
  • Sunday 2pm - 4pm

Preschool Party with Bouncy Castle and 2 instructors. A maximum of 20 children. Games like Freeze, Relays, Rob the Nest, Bucket Toss, or your own specific game, can be organized by our instructors.

5 - 10 year old Party with Bouncy Castle and 2 instructors. A maximum of 20 children. Children aged over 7 years can enjoy 15-20 minutes of a fun game of basketball, indoor football, hockey or cricket organized by our instructors.

7+ Years Sports Party – this is an equipment only party (no bouncy castle) with 2 instructors. A maximum of 20 children. We can organise a party for a specific sport like basketball, soccer, indoor hockey, indoor cricket etc.

Normal run time of a Birthday Party;

  • 30 minutes to set up your party room before guests arrive.
  • One hour of supervised free play in our stadium with 2 instructors with a maximum of 20 children.
  • The stadium is set up with fun equipment that may include things like an obstacle course, tunnels, large soft shapes, balls, trolleys, hoops, ropes etc. To top it all off we can also include an awesome bouncy castle for some extra fun.
  • After fun in the stadium, you have one hour in our dedicated party room with full kitchen facilities along with tables and chairs. Parents/Caregivers take over supervision at this time. There is plenty of open space in this room to keep the fun going.


We can accommodate party’s with up to 40 children and up to 4 hours, 2 hours in the stadium and 2 hours in the “party room” at an extra charge. So please talk to us for more details on this.


FAQ's

Do you provide invitation cards?

Sorry, we don’t provide invites.

What white ware is available to use in the party room?

We have a fully functioning kitchen that includes an conventional oven and stove, fridge-freezer and a microwave with plenty of bench space.

What cutlery do you have?

We do not provide cutlery. Please BYO.

How many tables and chairs do you have?

We have 3 hexagon children’s tables that can seat up to 20 children but if given enough notice we can organise more tables and chairs to seat up to 40 children.

What are the expectations around cleaning up after the party?

We expect the room to be left how it was found. We do provide an extra 30 mins at the end of the party for clean-up. We have a vacuum machine available on site.

Where does the rubbish go?

We have three types of rubbish bins outside on the south side of the facility. Please put all cardboard and paper waste in the YELLOW bin. Any recyclables can be put into the two local council GREEN wheelie bins. We also have a big rubbish BLUE skip bin outside for any larger items. It is locked so you can get the keys from our lovely team at reception should you need it.

What are your payment terms?

Full payment required within 7 days of booking. We will confirm the booking once full payment has been made.
