De-stress and develop strength with our yoga classes on the North Shore

YMCA North Shore Recreation Centre has three different yoga streams to make sure that you can find the right class for you. ‘Regular’ yoga is medium intensity, providing an excellent way to manage stress and induce relaxation, all the while working towards increased flexibility and posture.

We also offer YIN and YANG programmes. Yoga YIN is a mindful, slow-paced practice designed to help strengthen fascia, joints and ligaments. The class uses props for a really thorough experience - resulting in something entirely relaxing. Yoga YANG is more strength-focused – with flexibility and balance developing as a result.

Our experienced teachers love teaching Northcote locals yoga – sharing the joy and the benefits of yoga classes on the North Shore with so many in our YMCA community.
