YMCA Lagoon Pool roadworks

Lagoon Drive and wider area is undergoing extensive development for the creation of a bus lane. We apologise for any inconvenience caused while this work is undertaken. 

We have created detailed maps and driving information for those wishing to visit the centre - please check back for updates.

Driving information

From Ellerslie via Ellerslie-Panmure Highway

There is currently no access to Ireland road from the Panmure roundabout from the highway.

Continue along Lagoon Drive, and turn left into Basin View Lane at the lights. 

Proceed to do a U-Turn to enter back into Lagoon Drive using the right-hand lane to turn right into Lagoon Pool entrance. 

From Glen Innes via Jellicoe

Continue until the end of Jellicoe Road and turn left into Queens Road. 

Continue on Queens Road until the roundabout.

At the roundabout, take the 4th exit into Domain Road. 

Continue on Domain Rd and turn left into Basin View Lane, keeping at the right lane at the lights.

Turn right into Lagoon Drive and turn left into YMCA Lagoon Pools

*Alternate directions: Turn left at the Pilkington Road lights onto Queens Road. At the Roundabout, take the 4th exit into Domain View Road. Follow Domain View Road until it merges into Basin View Lane. Turn left into Basin View lane and Left onto Lagoon Drive. Make a U-turn at the skate park opposite Lagoon Stadium, and then turn left into Lagoon Pool and Leisure Centre

From Glen Innes via Pilkington Rd

At the end of Pilkington Road, turn right at the lights onto Queens Road. 

Continue on Queens Road until the roundabout.

At the roundabout, take the exit into Domain Road. 

Continue on Domain Rd and turn left into Basin View Lane, keeping at the right lane at the lights.

Turn right into Lagoon Drive and turn left into YMCA Lagoon Pools


*Alternate directions: Turn left at the Pilkington Road lights onto Queens Road. At the Roundabout, take the 4th exit into Domain View Road. Follow Domain View Road until it merges into Basin View Lane. Turn left into Basin View lane and Left onto Lagoon Drive. Make a U-turn at the skate park opposite Lagoon Stadium, and then turn left into Lagoon Pool and Leisure Centre

From Point England via Tripoli Road

From Tripoli turn right on Kings Road towards the roundabout. 

At the roundabout, take the exit into Domain Road. 

Continue on Domain Rd and turn left into Basin View Lane, keeping at the right lane at the lights.

Turn right into Lagoon Drive and turn left into YMCA Lagoon Pools


From Sylvia Park

Turn right down Waipuna Road, then take the first left onto Ireland Road. Follow Ireland Road along Panmure Basin, then turn right down Cleary Road to access the YMCA Lagoon Pool rear entrance.

From Pakuranga via Lagoon Drive

Turn left from Lagoon drive into YMCA Lagoon Pool & Leisure Centre as usual.
