Auckland and Hamilton are under Alert Level 3. Bay of Plenty is open under Alert Level 2. Please see below for operating protocols

Bay of Plenty Level 2 Protocols

Out of school care

Returning to out of school care

  • We will start our sessions from the first day schools return in Alert Level 2
  • Opening hours remain as per normal
  • If your child is unwell, please do not send them to out of school care

During our session

  • Children are not required to wear face coverings, however we will support any who wish to do so
  • Breakfast/afternoon tea will still be served individually to each child
  • If your child is unable to use the supplied hand sanitiser, please provide one they are able to use.

Picking up your child

  • Please follow your school's guidance around entry to the school grounds, we will continue to update you via email
  • Please scan the YMCA COVID tracker poster on arrival
  • We have contactless sign in/sign out available through Aimy Plus

Our promise to you

  • Cleaning is a priority – we’ll be keeping the site sanitised for your children's safety and ours
  • We’ll keep on top of what is needed to keep your tamariki in a safe environment
  • We will make them feel welcome, we’re happy to welcome you back

Hamilton Level 3 Protocols

Early Learning Centre

Before you come in

  • If your tamariki are not well they must not come to our centre
  • If children are self-isolating and unable to come in, contact us for what distance learning support we can provide

When you arrive

  • Sign in using the COVID app
  • Please keep at least 2 metres distance from other adults when dropping off your child
  • Please follow any signage around entry/exit locations

During your tamariki's time with us

  • Masks are not required for children or staff – however it is optional, based on the individual decision of parents/caregivers
  • We will be keeping tamariki to small groups to limit extensive contact with each other
  • Handwashing will take place throughout the day

Our promise to you

  • Cleaning is a priority – we’ll be keeping the centre and toys and equipment sanitised for your children's safety and ours
  • We’ll keep on top of what is needed to keep your tamariki in a safe environment
  • We will make them feel welcome, we’re happy to welcome you back
