Young designers aged 13 – 18 years old will have the opportunity to showcase their talent at this year’s Walk the Line Fashion Show. Organised by YMCA North Shore Raise up n Represent Crew, this year Walk the Line will be run as a part of Fashion Week. The show will be held on Tuesday 21st September, Shed 2 of the Fashion Week pavilion starting 8pm.
The evening will feature 48 designers competing in the Wearable Arts, Cultural, High Fashion and Open categories. The judging panel will consist of special guest designers and fashion industry representatives.
Walk The Line will also include professional make up artists and hair stylists, as well as an array of performances and entertainment. This youth fashion show is not to be missed, and will certainly feature some of New Zealand’s future young designers.
This show has been organised the YMCA North Shore’s Youth committee – the Raise up Crew. The Crew are a group of selected students from every North Shore high school. They meet weekly at the YMCA to organise a range of events and activities throughout the year for teenagers. The aim is to give teenagers safe and positive places to socialise, as well as provide empowering opportunities for teenagers to succeed.
If you wish to enter, collect an entry form from YMCA North Shore, a Raise Up Crew Representative at any North Shore school or email Ben Rogers at raiseup.northshore@nzymca.com. Entry forms are due in by Friday 3rd September.
