The Young Men's Christian Association, made famous in the Village People song 'YMCA', is changing its name.
From now on, it will be known simply as "The Y" – much to the dismay of the '70s disco group.
"We are deeply dismayed by today's announcement from the YMCA that they feel a name change and a rebranding are in order after 166 years," the group said in a statement released this morning.
"Some things remain iconic, and while we admire the organisation for the work they do, we still can't help but wonder Y."
According to The Y, it's purely a branding exercise.
"It’s a way of being warmer, more genuine, more welcoming, when you call yourself what everyone else calls you," chief marketing officer Kate Coleman told the New York Times.
Don't expect the song to follow suit though – the YMCA, in full, will still be the place to "get yourself cleaned", "have a good meal" and "do whatever you feel".
The band insist they will "continue to perform all four letters in their concerts around the world".
