There are plenty of activities in the city the kids can enjoy in their time off over the school holidays.
The Mt Albert YMCA is once again running its popular school holiday programme.
Around 120 children in three classes are registered and attending every day.

Mt Albert YMCA Out of School Care and Recreation (OSCAR) manager Kev Carter says the three programmes the community recreation centre has been running have been busy and often full.
"We've been running three classes each of around 50 kids, doing arts and crafts and running events like swimming or going to theatres," he says.
"The weather has been a bit iffy this week but the kids have been great and every second day they go out on a day-trip," Mr Carter says.
Tia MocGlutu spent the morning on Wednesday painting Hairy Maclary with her peers before going to the stage production of the famous book by Lynley Dodd at the PumpHouse Theatre.
"I'm excited to see Hairy Maclary and I know he's a boy but I think he should have a bow like in my painting," she says.
The centre is still taking bookings for week two of its programmes, with events including a visit from the police dogs and trips to Auckland Raceway and popular skateparks planned.
