North Shore Sports 

At North Shore we offer a variety of sports that you can either join a league or play with a group of friends and hire the facilities. These include basketball, netball, indoor soccer, volleyball, soccer, badminton and lots more. Our indoor stadium means we can offer them all year round! You can book courts on a casual basis, just contact us for more details.

Sports Leagues

Our indoor sports leagues are very popular. Join with your sports team, work colleagues, friends and/or family for a workout with a difference. They offer the perfect opportunity to challenge you and your colleagues, and keep up your fitness in a fun and social environment. There are also junior basketball leagues. Click here for more information.

Basketball

Basketball was invented in 1891 by Dr James Naismith, at YMCA Massachusetts. It is one of the most popular team sports in the world and one of the most widely viewed today. Basketball a fast moving game that involves a lot of variety including shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding, defence and much more. It’s also is a great way to stay fit!

Squash
Squash is a fast and furious racquet sport played by 2 players in a four-walled court. It
provides an excellent cardiovascular workout, significantly more than most other sports and also provides a good upper and lower body workout. Squash courts available for hire at very reasonable rates, just contact us to find out more.

 

Indoor Soccer

If you play soccer in the winter, why not keep up your footwork and fitness by continuing to play all year round in our indoor stadium.

Table Tennis

Table tennis is the most popular racket sport in the world, with over 300 million active members of governing associations worldwide. It is a fast game and demands quick reactions. Contact us if you would like to book a table.

 

Volleyball
Volleyball is a great team sport that helps you keep fit and active, as well as developing key skills such as agility, hand-eye co-ordination, strength and vertical jumps. School, family or community groups are most welcome and events can be organised after hours. Please contact us for bookings or information.

 

Martial Arts

There are two clubs runing at YMCA North Shore if you would like to try out martial arts.
