Upon Registering, riders will be sent a Registration Tag which must be attached to your horse and a membership ID which we request you keep on your person and a permit for your vehicle to be displayed whilst you are parked in the WFEP car park. We will also include a map and regulations sheet, but please remember that tracks are being updated regularly so you will need to refer to this web page for updates. You may in the weekends bring a friend, who can participate as a casual rider for a fee of $20.00 per day, this must be paid to the staff on duty at the time. (Cash/cheque or credit card only)
We will also send you a weekly email which includes a forest activity report etc. This will also be displayed on the notice board in the car park.
As Woodhill is a working forest, riders must keep out of areas designated as either having a forestry operation and or a scheduled activity/event such as orienteering. We currently share an area out of the exclusive zone, with a motorcycle club, who hold events six times per year, which will be advised to you and you need to stay clear of the area at this time. There are however multiple access points, so riding is normally open seven days week, 365 days of the year. Fire danger is monitored throughout the year and if deemed too high the forest will be closed to access - this is in extreme conditions. If there is any emergency in the forest we may text you and ask you to leave the forest immediately or not to enter the forest until the all clear is given.
