We reckon exercise should be fun, varied and show results, so that’s just what The Y Auckland City (formerly known as the YMCA) Fitness group classes provide. We offer larger class options or small group classes held in the functional training area daily.

There’s a class to suit everyone, and the varied skill levels of people attending means everyone can get something out of them. If getting stronger, fitter and faster in the quickest amount of time is for you, give a HIIT session a go.

Keen to up the tempo on your workout? Pick one of our cardio classes, like BOX FIT, or SPIN. And if mindfulness and breathing techniques are more up your alley, pop into our PILATES or YOGA.

BOX FIT

With a focus on boxing technique and strength drills this high energy workout is great for anyone wanting to change the body without worrying about co-ordination. No choreography involved, just pure boxing.

TAI CHI

Cultivate the link between mind and body with flowing gentleflowing movements.

HIIT SESSIONS

HIIT30, HIIT45 and CORE30 - These circuit style workouts incorporate high intensity intervals of weight bearing and body weight exercises with proven benefits for improving both anaerobic/aerobic fitness levels and fat burning.

MUSCLE MAX

Build the body you want with a variety of weight bearing andbody weight exercises designed to build muscle, tone the body and createdefinition.

DANCE

Our group ex timetable offers a variety of dance styles from DANCE JAZZ, DANCE BALLET and ZUMBA GOLD for those wanting to get fitter moving to the beat.
